Artists on the Front Line is an ongoing programming partnership between the most significant cultural institutions in Saskatchewan spearheaded by Strandline Curatorial Collective. Mktrich Tonoyan is the second initiative of this unique collaboration, which will draw on the strengths of art institutions to provide space for thought-provoking dialogue and alternative perspectives on war and militarism for a cross section of the community. The inaugural presentation of Artists on the Front Line was delivered by renowned Maori artist Brett Graham at the Regina Public Library in collaboration with the

Dunlop Art Gallery | 28 April 2013.

As the culmination of his residency, Tonoyan will present a project as part of Meet in the Middle.

Meet in the Middle will station a series of events across the city of Regina, including exhibition openings, residencies, an international symposium, a Contact Room for research and archival curation, exploration and artistic production. Meet in the Middle is curated by Elizabeth Matheson Strandline Curatorial Collective | Dr. Christine Ramsay University of Regina in association with Timothy Long MacKenzie Art Gallery.
